Before I
can handle your dog(s), I require all owners and co-owners (as stated
on the dog's AKC registration) to agree to the following terms and
conditions. Please read these terms and fill out the form at the
bottom of the page if you agree to them.
·
All dogs will be shown by me or
my assistant(s), except when circumstances arise beyond my control,
such as multiple conflicts in judging schedules; in which case,
another competent handler of my choice will handle the dog and
regular fees will apply.
·
A traveling fee of
$10.00/night will be charged for all dogs that travel and stay with me.
This includes exercise, potty breaks, feeding and love.
·
In addition, all dogs
on my schedule for any given show will be charged standard travel
expenses of 75 cents per mile plus a portion of hotel expenses. Hotel
fees will be divided equally among clients.
·
The priority in
showing dogs is as follows: Specials, majors, finishing points,
pointed, open and puppy. Any dog that is not shown due to handler
error will not accrue any handling fees for the day, however travel
expenses will apply.
·
I prefer to enter all dogs for shows unless otherwise agreed upon by both
parties. All clients with this arrangement must have a valid credit
card # on file to cover all charges and entry fees. Confirmation of
entries will be provided to client upon receipt.
·
When a dog only needing
a major is brought to a show and the major is broken, thus the dog is
not shown, a $20 fee, plus expenses, will be applied instead of the full handling fee.
If a show in which the dog is entered does not receive enough entries
for a major when only majors are needed, the dog will not be brought
to the show and there will NOT be any fee.
· If a dog is pulled
from an entered show after the closing date for any reason (i.e.
illness, sickness etc.) excluding lack of major, the full handling
fee plus expenses will be applied.
·
A dog's
physical/mental health is the number one concern when at a dog show.
At no time will the health of the dog be put at risk. If, at any time, it is
determined that the dog is in need of medical attention, the owner
accepts full financial responsibility for whatever actions are taken
for the dog to be medically seen.
·
Dogs taken by me to a
show or overnight need to be appropriately crate-trained. Please
provide an appropriate amount of food to be sent along. It is
preferred to take dogs that have been accustomed to dry food feedings
and being fed inside a crate. Accommodations can be made for raw diet
feeders. Bitches in season must have appropriate seasonals. It is
preferred not to take bitches in season overnight, but I will do so
depending on entries.
·
Basic grooming is the
owner's responsibility prior to the show (nails, teeth, brushing - must be matt free, bathing)
unless other arrangements have been made. Show "clean up" is standard
and is included in the handling fees. If the dog is brought to the
show in need of more than a touch-up, a minimum $20-$40 fee will be
charged for grooming. Dogs must arrive at the show 1½ hours prior to
judging time unless another agreed-upon time has been stated. All dogs
brought to me in need of bathing and trimming for a show will be
charged the standard grooming fees.
·
This agreement
releases Kathy Kalos and her assistant(s) of any responsibility for
injury, illness, loss, theft or death of the dog, except for cases of
proven intentional neglect.
Please
fill out the form below and agree to these Terms & Conditions above.
All owners and co-owners (as stated on the dog's AKC registration)
must complete this form or submit a signed copy of the agreement
before any services can commence. If you have any questions, please
call or e-mail Kathy.
